Unser Leben ist von Begegnungen der unterschiedlichsten Art geprägt. Begegnung ist Bewegung und bringt Neues hervor. Wir begegnen Menschen, die unsere Intentionen in Bewegung bringen, wir begegnen Materialien und sind inspiriert, wir entdecken in der Natur im Kleinen das Große. Diese Motive nenne ich „Spuren der Zeit“. Zeit, die wir oft nicht zu haben meinen. Die Natur hat sie. Wir sind in ihr, im ewigen Werden, Sein und Vergehen. Wir glauben, was wir sehen. Doch die Natur spielt mit uns, täuscht uns, überrascht uns immer wieder.
EllenNa ist freiberufliche Fotografien und lebt seit 2004 auf Rügen. Sie gründete die Galerie „mehrsehen“ am Kap Arkona. Ihre Arbeiten – zwischen Installation und Fotografie – präsentiert sie auch in ihrem Atelierhaus in Nardevitz. EllenNa ist Mitbegründerin der B7 Gemeinschaft und betreute bis 2018 die Projekte auf Rügen.

Our lives are shaped by encounters of many different kinds. Encounters mean movement and spawn new things. We encounter people who put our intentions in motion. We encounter materials and are inspired. We discover greatness in nature’s small things. I call these motifs “traces of time” – time that we often believe we do not have. Nature has it. We are in it, in the eternal process of becoming, being and ceasing to be. We believe what we see. But nature plays with us, deceives us, surprises us again and again.
EllenNa is a freelance photographer and has lived on Rügen since 2004. She founded the “mehrsehen” gallery at Cape Arkona. She also presents her works – between installation and photography – in her studio home in Nardevitz. EllenNa is co-founder of the B7 collective and coordinated the projects on Rügen until 2018.
