Das Gedicht von Ron Winkler ist Grundlage der Videoarbeit von Cornelius Ochs. Ochs begreift den Text als Beschwörungsformel an den maritimen Magier, der noch einmal seine Netze in das Meer der Fantasiegeschöpfe wirft. In traumhaften audiovisuellen Sequenzen kündigen die Videos ein Erwachen im Untergang an. Verheißungsvoll und bedrohlich zugleich zwingt uns der Sog der Bilder und Töne die Luft anzuhalten und unsere Vernunft fluten zu lassen.
Cornelius Ochs ist Musiker und als Solomusiker, aber auch mit anderen Musikprojekten, in ganz Europa und Amerika unterwegs. Er ist Zeichner, Dichter und Comicautor und begleitet seit einigen Jahren zahlreiche Projekte auf Rügen.

Ron Winkler’s poem is the basis of Cornelius Ochs’ video work. Ochs understands the text as an incantation for the maritime magician, who once again throws his nets into the sea of fantastical creatures. In dreamlike audiovisual sequences, the videos herald an awakening in sinking. Full of both promise and threat, the pull of the images and sounds forces us to hold our breath and let our rationality be flooded.
Cornelius Ochs is a musician. He performs throughout Europe and America as a solo artist as well as in other music projects. He is also an illustrator, poet and comic book author, and has been involved in many projects on Rügen for a number of years.
